Carrying the Girls
Pen, ink and watercolor. Just a little thing from the scetchbook. I enjoy carrying the girls around. Its great exercise. Unfortunately, they're getting kind of big and I'm feeling a little more every time I pick them up.
Cassandra Learning to Ride
Pen, ink and watercolor. I was very proud of her that day. Now she's a regular speed demon.
Matt and Erin
Acrylic on Canvas.Matt and I met when we were eight. We played on the same soccer team. Who would have thought we'd be at his weddding twenty-two years later. We're getting old. The words are from "Soul Sanctuary". A particularly nice cut from Prince's Emancipation Album. Fitting because we are both Prince fanatics.
Devon in the Bathroom
Acrylic on canvas. I just couldn't resist. She was so cute with her tummy sticking out. She coming along with the teeth brushing thing too.
Captiva Sunset
We were ona beach on Captiva Island. A little place off of the gulf coast of Florida. Just as the sun was setting everything around us turned a golden-reddish color. Devon was tired and needed Hyacinth to carry her back to the house.
Cassie's Eggs
I finished this one during a slow, overnight ER shift at the hospital. No real significance. I just thought she looked cute pondering her food.
Feeding Baby
Oil and acrylic on canvas. Based on many battles at the high chair. A grown man, dressed in his work clothes, wearing more food than his child is eating. I though it was kind of funny. This picture is a milesotne for me in a way. It is my first successful experiment with oil-based paints. I think I'll be doing more in the future.
